Download TalkWeaver

TalkWeaver is free and open source. There is no account and nothing to sign up for.

macOS

For Macs with Apple Silicon. Signed and notarised by Apple, so it opens normally.

Windows

For 64-bit Windows. The build is unsigned, so SmartScreen warns on first launch: choose More info, then Run anyway.

The Windows installer is built and tested automatically against a stand-in for Cloudflare. Publishing and going live with a real Cloudflare account has not been tested on Windows.

Demo vault

The demo vault is a folder of twelve small talks that show the features at work: layouts, emphasis, audio and video steps, embedded pages, pre-work, polls, and the chat and terminal slides. Its pre-work workshop talk takes its steps from a work file, and the vault has a small post-work file. It is attached to the 0.41.0 release as a separate download.

TalkWeaver-demo-vault.zip

To open it, unzip the file somewhere you keep documents, such as Documents. In TalkWeaver, open the Talks panel, choose Add vault…, then Choose a folder… and pick the unzipped TalkWeaver demo vault folder. The talks appear in the Talks panel. TalkWeaver writes a small settings file inside the folder.

The demo vault is not the example vault. The example vault is five short talks that TalkWeaver writes for you when you choose “look around first” on the first-launch screen, and it needs no download. The demo vault is the larger download, for looking at features in detail.

Previous version: 0.39.0

If 0.41.0 gives you trouble, the previous version is still available.

Your talks stay yours

Your talks are Markdown files in a folder on your computer. Nothing leaves your computer until you publish a talk or go live, and both use your own Cloudflare account, which you set up in Settings → Cloudflare.
